The Cliffhanger vs BMW G310 GS

I was supposed to take my Hero Impulse on today’s trail ride up the Cliffhanger. But instead I decided to take my BMW G310 GS just to see how the motorcycle would handle the trail. Or rather, how I would handle the motorcycle on the trail.

BMW has been trying to underplay the off-road capabilities of this motorcycle. Even their sales people tried to convince me to buy the BMW R1200 GS since I like to take my motorcycles off-road. “You can do much more with it”, they said. I replied, “No, I think I can do much more with a 310 GS”.
