The Stupidity of Ralco Adventure Tyres for Scooters

Someone at Ludhiana based Ralco Tyres has lost their marbles. They decided to create a big block, wide gap tread pattern adventure tyre. For scooters. Yes, a size 14” for scooters. Not for adventure motorcycles.

I just paid a whopping ₹18,000 to import a single Continental TKC 80 tyre with a similar tread pattern. ₹18,000 for just one rear tyre. Not a set of two.

There are a boat load of adventure motorcycle owners in India who would love to buy a 17” 50-50 tyre for road and off-road use and these guys go and make a 50-50 14” adventure tyre for scooters.
