Unsafe Highway Police Stop

This incident happened on the Canacona bypass on Saturday 8th June 2024. I was riding on the highway when a bunch of highway cops who were on the median climbed down onto the high and flagged me down. Before braking I checked in the rearview mirror and noticed a black SUV in the distance. As I stopped at the side of the highway the black SUV sped past me almost crashing into the cops. Turns out the police were flagging down the SUV and not me. I think there needs to be a better way to implement highway stops in India. It’s not safe for cops to abruptly jump in front of speeding traffic doing highway speeds and put themselves and other travelers on the highway at risk.
