How To Hand Launch and Hand Land a Drone

Mastered the three-finger pinch method of hand launching and hand catching the Mavic Mini. This solves the problem of finding an appropriate spot to land and take off. The spot needs to be clean and free from dirt. This is because when the propellers start rotating before taking off, they kick up dirt and dust which often goes into the gimbal assembly. This results in a gimbal motor overload error message when the drone is flying and you need to land it back to free the gimbal manually.

You need to do this carefully and it’s best that you try this for the first time when there is no wind. The propeller blades are very sharp and can slice deep into fingers.

I used Aldryn Estacio’s video to learn this trick.
