Ford Endeavour – Rock Mode Test

Testing the rock mode of my 2018 Ford Endeavour 3.2L 4×4 Automatic. The first attempt was done using normal 4×4 mode. The SUV didn’t get too far up the slope and the wheels started spinning. The surface was hard packed mud and not rock, which made it even more difficult for the tyres to grab onto something. The second attempt was with 4×4 Low in rock mode with rear differential lock for good measure. The SUV pulled itself up the 25 degree slope without a fuss.

I made it a point to not hit the slope fast and then use momentum to climb up. I wanted to see what the SUV is capable of doing by itself.
