My New Action Camera Setup

This is my new action camera setup:
1) DJI Osmo Action 4 Camera
2) DJI Osmo Action 4 Remote
3) DJI Mic 2 Transmitter

The camera seamlessly connects to the remote and mic. The camera is mounted on top of my helmet and is always turned off to save battery. The remote is either strapped to my wrist or to the handlebar. The mic is in my pant pocket to prevent it from recording wind noise. Pressing the remote’s record button awakens the camera and it starts recording within three seconds. As the camera wakes up it automatically connects to the mic which records the sound. The mic picks up the motorcycle sound and all other ambient sounds just fine but skips the irritating wind noise. Pressing the remote’s record button again stops recording and puts the camera back to sleep. The remote and mic stay alive.

The entire setup is completely wireless. I can place the camera, remote and mic wherever I want on the motorcycle or myself. If you are into motovlogging you can place the mic inside your helmet as it’s quite small. Come to think of it, this is probably the best setup for motovlogging. No special microphone adapters or media mods. No need to remove a camera door to expose a port on the camera and render the camera not waterproof. No wires dangling from the top of your helmet or chin.

And the best part is all of this just works. Everything connects to everything else. Every time. No exceptions. No crashes. No hanging. No disconnections. No nothing. It. Just. Works.

Goodbye GoPro. Get well soon.
