Thoughts On Motorcycle Rallying

Since I ride motorcycles, people assume that I’m into MotoGP and stuff. Actually, I’m not. Seeing people ride fast around the same circuit over and over again doesn’t excite me. What excites me is off-road motorcycle rallying. Why? Because riding fast is only one aspect of the sport. Navigation is another crucial aspect. You get that wrong and you will just end up in the wrong place faster.

Having ridden there I can imagine how difficult it must be to take split second decisions while flying across the steppes with tracks criss-crossing and branching in all directions.
