2017 Road Trips

The time has come for me to reflect on my road trips for the year. This year has been particularly interesting because I visited the Himalayas three times. I rode my Impulse around the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal in Feb, explored Ladakh like a regular tourist with my sons in August/September and then drove my Vitara from Goa to Ladakh and back in October for the Raid de Himalaya. I did a few “smaller” rides around Goa as well.

2017 was special also because I crossed the Indian border by road for the first time when I rode into Nepal. And speaking of crossing borders, I managed to squeezed out a free day while on a business trip in Italy and rode a Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 NTX around the snow covered Western Alps spanning Italy, France and Switzerland, all in a single day.

So yeah, I’m pretty pleased with my road trips in 2017. Hoping that 2018 is even better.
